PROJECT DESCRIPTION.
Tagish Engineering was commissioned to design, tender and inspect the construction for 2014 Lagoon Upgrades in Sylvan Lake, Alberta. The project included the selection of steel blower lines designed to accommodate the high air temperatures generated by compressing air. The upgraded blower line system increased the line capacity by 150% while still maintain the required zone system back pressure. The construction portion of the project included the replacement of all the buried steel blower lines complete with cathodic protection at regular intervals along the length of the pipe. This project was completed in a timely manner and well under budget.
ENGINEERING HIGHLIGHTS.
• There was extensive coordination between the Contractor and Public Works to maintain timelines required for completion of the construction. This required good communication between all parties.
• Removing the existing header pipe and replacing it with a new galvanized steel header pipe. Tagish was able to work with all parties and complete a project under tight deadlines and under budget
