PROJECT DESCRIPTION.

The Town of Eckville commissioned Tagish Engineering to assess the condition of 50th Ave from S. Hwy 766 to 51st St. Due to structural failure, portions of the roadway were overlaid with other sections with little or no crown. Over time the road structure was compromised by heavy truck traffic and minimum road maintenance. To correct the problem a detailed survey was conducted to assess the road profile to determine which sections required asphalt pre-leveling and grinding to remove excess crown. All defective concrete was replaced and the entire roadway was ground to a depth to accept a full lift of asphalt pavement.
