The name "Tagish" originates from Tagish Lake which is located in the Whitehorse southern lakes region, at the headwaters of the Yukon river. In 1973, while owner and president Wes Williams was working for the City of Whitehorse, he staked a lot on California Beach at Tagish Lake, and built the log cabin pictured above. When Wes moved to Red Deer and started his own company, he chose a name that exemplifies the "Spirit Of The North" The values of hard work, free spirit, and a willingness to seek adventure remain strong at Tagish Engineering Ltd. to this day.
