Civil Design Technologist/Junior Engineer

Tagish Engineering is seeking a Civil Engineering Technologist with at least 3-5 years of experience. The ideal candidate would have experience in municipal/roadway engineering design and drafting, and fluency in Microsoft Office (Excel), AutoCAD, EaglePoint and/or Civil 3D.

Tagish Engineering Ltd., a local and well established Central Alberta Civil Engineering firm is seeking a Municipal Design/Drafting Technologist or Junior Engineer.

In this role, you will be answering directly to project managers, assisting them on drafting, design, inspection and correspondence on various municipal and civil projects. Being thorough with your process, you are expected to complete functional and economical designs, offer your opinion and expertise, work and communicate effectively as a team member, and be proactive in your approach to completing projects for clients on a timely and accurate basis. You will also work as a liaison between the client, contractor and project manager when necessary.

The right individual should have 2-5 years of direct municipal engineering experience, strong Civil 3D, AutoCad and computer skills, strong written and verbal communication skills, a team based mindset, and a desire to succeed.
